About fonts again?

I wonder how – once you've downloaded a new set (or more) fonts, how do you have access to programs like Picture It Publishing, e-mails, etc.? I find with all these special characters such the umlaut, tilde, etc., all these older names of France, Spain, Germany, use, etc. By surname or genealogical research. I tried to download some games before, but never can be accessed for use.

Put them in C: Windows Fonts for all font files … i prefer to download "The Font Thing" a program that helps you easily install the fonts … even before the preview to do:)
