If I want to use some of the lyrics in a book that I must obtain a permit?
I write my first book. It homeless in our community. One participant (A homeless man) wants the lyrics of a song well known in the book. To include previously copies of documents written in a self-published (POD) book, what should I do? This book will have an ISBN number and can be purchased from AMAZON.COM and other booksellers online. But I think this book will sell less than 1,500 copies.
You are only able to use a certain amount of words until you to pay for the privilege. I belive it's 3 lines or less. Honestly, it will probably cost more to include the song in the book go off the sale of the whole.
