Is there any kind of psychological association that certifies/approves books?
Hi. I’ve been having a lot of trouble finding the right book on self-improvement. I am very confused. Some say one thing, others say the very opposite.
I would like to know wether some kind of organization (respected psychology association) exists that makes some list of approved books by them.
I am just tired of wasting my time reading useless stuff from people who are not serious and just want to make money. And I’m not sure how can I distinguish the good books from the bad.
I really would like something to guide me. An association, a website that publishes a list of good self-improvement books, etc.

Well,I think you need to first decide on what kind of books you need exactly—-self-help in which area? and proceed to take a look at some books in Libraries-check the extract and decide.
