How can I decipher between printer specifications for paper that are domestic & from overseas?
I am in the process of researching the process of self-publishing my own comic book. However, I need a little help so that I can properly compare quotes from both domestic (USA) and international printers.
For example, a Chinese printing company gave me the following dimensions:
Size: 170*260mm
Cover: 4P, 4 color on 157g glossy paper with 1 side glossy lamination
Text: 32P or 28P, 4 color on 120g woodfree paper
Binding: saddle stitching
What do the “157g” and “120g” translate to in our domestic system?
Also, any assistance in identifying the types of paper publishers use when printing comic books would be greatly appreciated.
Buy a tape measure that has inches on 1 side and metrics on the other.
