How can I obtain illustrations for a book that I want published?
My mother is a poet and she finds herself in books published but how can we obtain illustrations. I thought there stuff somenice of Microsoft clip art, but we would need special permission to use them. Where could we find illustrators or PC that we could use feely?
The Clip Art is about open source. If she came with him, you should be able to use it. But to me it appears as a little amateur, as these things tend to be used frequently. You can also look at places like Istock.com Masterfile.com and where you can buy stock images for use. You can go to places like deviantart.com, portfolios.com illustrators and contacts specific as you like and see what they charge. Finally you can show your ad or guru.com ifreelance.com and illustrators will bid for the job. Hope that helps
