Can I change the name of an author who wanted to publish her poems but is now deceased?

My friend wrote a book of poems, but never got published. He had a terminal illness and gave me his poems, hoping they would get published one day. He used pseudonim as an author, but I want to publish a race with some very small stories about his life (other), but to use his real name as author rather than the nickname he wanted to use. Do you think that ethics or do I do what he wanted?

I respect desires and use the pseudonym. He wanted to be known this for a reason, and as his friend, you must comply. You can still use the testimonies, just change the names to them what he wanted to be called.
