Feedback / Critique my horror Romance novel for young adults so far?

I'm writing a horror novel book young adults. I published the first chapter. I'll change it around a bit once I finished the whole novel. I am writing in chapters short (like 2-6 pages each) if it is a little short for a chapter, but I write very short. Here it is: http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AUVHXUX02fZSZHBmbjhyZF81ZGo0dmtoaGI&hl=en So what do you think of this? Comments and suggestions / criticisms? Thank you for reading.

** Just so you know, these are critical, I'll pick the positive after .** I think you need a little work on your dialog. Imagine the conversations as if they were real people talking, maybe if you were one of the characters. I do not know about your character, but it seems awfully quiet and kind to the person found on crime scene. If I were her I would be very very wary of this stranger in the house of my neighbor such as, I would be even less likely if I felt a strange sensation that I knew. I have a tendency to dismiss the strange emotions, and / or physical feelings. I do not know about your character, but … it's just me. Also, if you go just to say a basic summary of the origin in the first sentences, why should the reader must read the rest? I think you could do to attract readers, but I do more vague. In addition, the guy would on the phone for a little longer than what seems to be only a few seconds. The person on the other line would most likely try to find out what happens exactly as you send an ambulance. And the conversation with the PSA would also probably a little longer. I do not really understand why / how Andy could just as easily get out of there after seeing a woman nearly dead on the ground. I can not relate to Catherine's reactions to all, I do not really know what happens in his mind, or why she did not question everything. By the way, "Love heals everything," he does not seem much like a book of horror. It's more of a romance book with some of these paranormal events. ** ** Positive things I liked the ideas of history, how there is a soul mate concept stuck somewhere. I enjoy reading about people's personal ideas and thoughts about concepts like that. =) I also like the idea of your main character being an Empath, able to feel exactly what people feel, whether it's a good thing or in this case, no. Since the girl seems to be an Empath, which leaves me wondering what kind of power Andy did. When they are together, I am the idea that can heal, as the title. If you really want to stick it in the "Horror" genre, then I think you'll need a much more horror yet. And italics, maybe less. Overall, I like this idea of history, the JIST of it. Good writing! =)

As each milestone in family history is passed some once common object of use or ornament is dropped by the way. Such interesting mementoes of past generations accumulate, and in course of time the older ones become curios. I t is to create greater interest in these o…
