I have a history book with no notes on this subject. Can you help me understand?

It is called "Our History American Book 1: Beginnings through Reconstruction "by Hilarie Staton, published by Educational Design, Inc. I looked through Google (Amazon, Half, Ebay, ect.) to find what note this book is for, but in vain. If someone uses this book with their children, please help me. What grade is he?
