How much does book publishing?
I write a children's book and I think it would be a good book to sell, but I need to know how much it cost to do so. What are all the steps in the preparation of a book? How much does it cost? Is there anything else I should know? Much information would be helpful. Thank you!
There are essentially three ways … Firstly, the harder and find a publisher who wish to publish your book. It is actually very useful to read what editors are looking for things that tend to trend, the Dragons are popular one year if additional time they will not touch them … google "market for children's writers" is a book with this title too check your local bookstore or library for that. A publishing contract you essentially pay 10% of book sales, but you do not have to do all the editing work. Second, the simplest and is called self-publishing (sometimes called the Vanity publishing) where you pay the price the printer and they make your book for you. This is not a reasonable option for some people … if you want a few books to show people or give as gifts. Can be expensive depending on how you look (and how much money you have). Chapters / Indigo in Canada has a very good bit where you can post your car and they will book for sale on their massive selling book machine (their website) … which is pretty cool. Departure: http://www.iuniverse.com Finally, you can publish digital, find a copy of Adobe and make your book and save it as a file. PDF and take it out on the Internet for free. You do do not have money, but it will not cost you much and you may be able to build an audience (which is what it is) for your next book.
